Installing the Interspire addons

Every Maborak addon for Interspire Email Marketer installs the same way.

Requirements

  • PHP 7.3
  • The ionCube loader
  • Interspire Email Marketer 6.1.3 to 6.2.1
  • Apache or IIS
  • MySQL
  • GNU/Linux, Windows, Solaris or FreeBSD
  • A licence for each paid addon

Download

Once you’ve bought an addon, its files and licence are in your client area.

Install

  1. Back up the Interspire files.
  2. Back up the Interspire database.
  3. Upload the addons to /path/to/iem/admin/addons/.
  4. Upload each licence to /path/to/iem/admin/addons/ADDON-NAME/api/ADDON-NAME.license.txt.
  5. Install the addons from Configuration › Addons in Interspire.

The Installer addon is required to install the others. It’s free and needs no licence.

Register licences from the command line

Over SSH, the installer can register every licence for the domain in one go:

php /path/to/iem/admin/addons/installer/api/cli.php --register

It reports the status of each addon:

INFO[Register Domain Addons]: iem.example.com
SUCCESS[Status]: Domain Licenses Found!
SUCCESS[mta]: Licensed
SUCCESS[multithread]: Licensed
SUCCESS[geostats]: Licensed
SUCCESS[fbl]: Licensed
WARNING[isp]: Not-licensed

cPanel servers

On servers managed with WHM/cPanel, point Interspire’s cron job at cPanel’s PHP binary. Change

/usr/bin/php -f /path/to/iem/admin/cron/cron.php

to

/usr/local/bin/php -f /path/to/iem/admin/cron/cron.php

Trial licences and help

To try an addon before buying, ask for a trial licence through a support ticket. Installation questions are also welcome on the forum.
